Fine in southwest Europe but some heavy rain through central areas
Tuesday
A fair day over Spain and Portugal. There will be some sunny spells, although a few showers are likely i the north. For France the south is going to be dry with some sunshine here. Thicker cloud and some rain could affect the north. Further cloud and some outbreaks of rain through the Low Countries with some heavy periods of rain over Germany. Dry with sunny spells through Poland. Austria and Hungary will have some cloud and heavy periods of rain, whilst Switzerland is going to be dry with some sunny spells.
Northern parts of Italy are going to have cloud and periods of heavy rain. To the south it should be drier, although there could be some heavy showers here. Through Greece the weather will be mainly dry on the coasts although some heavy showers are likely inland. A few showers forming over Turkey, some of them heavy at times. Turkey and Bulgaria should be dry too with sunny spells here.
For the baltic States the day should be warm and dry with sunny spells. Cloud and some rain reaching Finland later in the day. Cloud and some rain to come through Sweden, with a few showers affecting Norway and Denmark.
Wednesday
High pressure brings fine weather again through Spain and Portugal, plenty of sunshine here. France will have some heavy showers in the west and south and these could be thundery at times. To the north and east there will be dry weather with sunny spells. A few heavy showers over the Low Countries. Cloudier skies and some hefty periods of rain over Germany, but Poland should be dry with sunny spells. Some cloud and heavy rain through Austria and Hungary with cloud and rain through Switzerland too.
Showers for Italy, some of them heavy at times. For Greece the day should be dry with sunny spells and it should stay fine through Crete too. For Turkey and Cyprus there may be a few heavy showers. These scattered heavy showers affecting Bulgaria and Romania as well.
To the north Some showers drift into the Baltic States with brighter weather affecting Finland. Some cloud and patchy rain in the southern half of Sweden, with the threat of some heavy rain in Denmark. Cloud and some patchy rain in southern Norway too., but the north should be brighter with sunny spells.
