Warmest across southern Spain, cold across Scandinavia

Today
A wet and windy day to come across the United Kingdom today with heavy rain. This rain spreads across northern France and northern Spain. Another area of rain will lie across Belgium, Holland, Denmark, Germany, Sweden, The Baltic States and western Russia with snow in the west. A few wintry showers are expected across Norway with heavy snow forecast across Finland. Heavy showers will affect Portugal but dry with sunny spells across southern Spain, the Balearics across into Italy, the former Yugoslavia, Greece and Turkey. High pressure will also keep it fine and dry for Bulgaria while rain is expected across Romania and Hungary.

Tuesday
Lots of heavy showers across Britain today mixed with sunny spells. Persistent rain will fall across northern France, the Low Counties and much of Germany and some of it looks heavy across France. Mainly dry across Denmark and Sweden while snow is in the forecast for Norway, Finland and Russia. Outbreaks or rain and sleet are expected for the Baltic States Belarus into the Ukraine. Early rain clears Poland leaving a dry day but with a lot of cloud. Rain is likely in the north west of Spain today but much of Iberia should be fair and dry with sunnier spells. The far south of Spain will see temperatures in the low twenties. A wide area of dry, mostly sunny weather will extend from the Balearics into southern France, Italy and into the Balkans. Lots of sunshine today across the former Yugoslavia.
