Unsettled in Italy and Greece, but some snow to come in the northeast
Wednesday
A fair day for much of Spain and Portugal, although there will be some cloud in the north and northwest. Cloud and some spots of rain for the far west of France, although for most of the country it will be dry with some mist in places. Early morning fog may extend from Switzerland and into the Low Countries. Further fog over western parts of Germany, clearing to sunny spells. To the east it will be cloudy with some outbreaks of rain and showers. More cloud and spots of rain in Poland. Austria and Hungary may have some mist and fog patches at first, this clearing to leave sunny spells and a few showers.
Low pressure for southern Italy brings a mix of sunshine and showers, some of them heavy at times. The low pressure brings further showers across Greece and Turkey, with further heavy showers to come through Cyprus and Crete. Low pressure also brings heavy showers for Bulgaria and Romania.
To the north there will be cloud and some snow across the Baltic States, with cold conditions and snow showers extending into Finland. High pressure brings cold but fair weather for norther northern half of Norway and Sweden. To the south there will be more cloud and a few snow flurries.
Thursday
Some cloud and showery bursts of rain edging into the northwest of Iberia through today. There will be sunshine and dry weather across much of the rest of Spain. Cloud and outbreaks of rain for most of France, and rather dreary with plenty of mist around too, especially in central areas. To the north it should be brighter with a few sunny spells. rain clearing to showers through the Low Countries, with rain affecting western Germany too. The east of Germany should be dry with some sunny spells and these affect Poland too. For Austria and Hungary there could be some morning mist and fog, although this clearing to leave sunny spells. More cloud and some spots of rain into Switzerland.
For Italy there will be some cloud in the north, with the risk of drizzle in the northwest. Most of the rest of the country should be dry with some sunny spells and will be warmer than recently too. heavy showers across Greece, Cyprus and Crete with the showers also affecting Turkey. Bulgaria and Romania will have heavy showers, and again a few of them may be on the heavy side.
To the north low pressure will be bringing sleet and snow through the Baltic States. Finland should be mainly dry, apart from an odd snow shower. Fair weather for Norway with sunny spells here. Some cloud and a few showers over southwest Norway, whilst Denmark is fair with some sunny spells here.
