Today
Rather cold across much of Europe and chilly through the Mediterranean. Outbreaks of rain are forecast across the United Kingdom and France with another area of heavy rain from Sweden into Germany across southern Finland. Outbreaks of snow are likely across Norway, northern Sweden and northern Finland. A cold but mostly cloudy and dry day across Belgium, Holland and Denmark. Look out for some heavy falls of snow today across the Alps. A cold day too across Spain with a few sleety showers in the north otherwise fair and dry. Dry and sunny across the Balearics with showers for Corsica and Sardinia. A windy day with rain across Italy. Fair and dry across the former Yugoslavia with sunny weather across Greece and Turkey where it will be mildest. High pressure will also keep it dry for Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania and the Ukraine. A good deal of cloud across Poland, the Baltic States and Russia but generally dry.

Milder weather and rain spreads in across the United Kingdom after a start. Heavy rain too sweeps into western France with lighter rain across Portugal and Spain. Eastern parts of France and Spain will remain dry until evening. Cloudy with just a few showers for Belgium, Holland and Denmark today. Snow is expected across Sweden with rain and snow across eastern parts of Germany. Dry across western Germany today. An area of rain will lie from Finland across the Baltic States into Poland. Scattered snow showers are likely across Norway. More snow today across the Alpine Region with lots of showers across Italy and more persistent rain across the former Yugoslavia. A few showers are possible across parts of western Greece, dry in the east and across into Turkey, Bulgaria and Romania. Rain is expected across Hungary with a dry but cloudy day to come across the Ukraine, Belarus and Russia.
