Fair through central Europe, rain and snow to the north, rain to the south
Wednesday
A cold and windy day across Spain and Portugal today. There will be some good spells of sunshine for Portugal, but variable cloud in Spain with the threat of some showery rain in the far south. A chilly day over France and breezy too. It should be dry here with sunny spells, although these will be hazy in the north. Cloud and some drizzle for the northern coasts of the Netherlands and Germany. Fair across Poland, Austria and Hungary as well as Switzerland.
For central and southern Italy the day will be cloudy and breezy with outbreaks of rain. Fair conditions for the north of Italy with some sunny spells here. More cloud and some rain through Greece, and mild but fair through Cyprus and Turkey as well as Israel. Cooler conditions through Bulgaria and Romania and rather cloudy here.
To the north the Baltic States will be dry with an increasing wind. Dry too through Finland, but the winds increasing here as well. More wind and cloud spreading through Sweden bringing some rain here. Very windy with sleet and rain through Denmark with snow through southern Norway and snow showers following from the west.
Thursday
A fair day for Spain and Portugal with the best of the sunshine in the south. More cloud and some showers affecting the far north of Spain. A band of rain will be pushing south through northern and central France, but brightening up in the far north later. The south stays cloudy with rain here later. Rain clears south through the Low Countries and Germany, bringing dry weather here and bright as well. Breezy with showers through Poland, the showers heavy at times. Mire cloud and some rain over Austria and Hungary as well as Switzerland.
Low pressure over northwest Italy brings some cloud and rain here, this perhaps showery in nature. A few showers through central and southern Italy. heavy showers following to Greece, with further cloud and some rain affecting much of Cyprus and southern Turkey. Northern parts of Turkey, Bulgaria and Romania should be dry with some sunny spells.
An unsettled day through the Baltic States with strong winds and some heavy rain or snow. Windy and cold with rain later in Finland. More cloud and snow over northern Sweden, but dry to the south. More showers and breezy through Denmark with fair weather over Norway, although some showers in the north.
