Bitterly cold in the east

Today
A cold day with just a few snow flurries for England. Dry and sunnier into northern France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Denmark and southern parts of Germany. For northern Germany and southern France some light snow to come. Sunny but cold and dry across Norway while heavy snow is likely across Sweden, Finland, Russia, the Baltic States and down into Belarus into the Ukraine. Some lightish snow to fall today across Hungary, Croatia and Bosnia. Dry but cold across Bulgaria and Romania with snow for Turkey while Greece will be more settled and dry today. Quite a few showers will affect Spain today with heavier rain into the Balearics across into Corsica and Sardinia. Rain mixed with sleet and snow will spread into Italy late in the day.

Wednesday
Lots of dry weather across Britain today but snow showers in the south east will extend across into Belgium and the Netherlands. A large area of snow will fall across Denmark, Germany, Sweden, Poland, Belarus, The Baltic States into Russia and the Ukraine. Heavier snow with heavy accumulations will fall lover the Alpine Region into Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia into Romania. A mainly dry but cold day across Norway and Finland today. Rain mixed with sleet and snow is forecast across Italy with more rain in the forecast for Greece. Dry but a cloudy day across Turkey. The far south of Portugal and Spain is likely to have some heavier spells of rain while the rest of Iberia should be fine and dry. Much of France looks dry and bright with some good sunny spells.
