The unsettled winter continues across Spain and Portugal

Sunday
An area of cloud and rain pushes eastwards through Spain today, mainly affect central and southern areas. Showers follow into Portugal, some of them heavy at times. Fair for the east of Spain until the evening. Dry with sunny spells across France, the best through more northern and eastern areas. A fair day to come through the Low Countries and Germany, with some heavy showers in Poland. Fair for Hungary and Austria as well as Switzerland with some sunny spells here.
High pressure brings a fair a mild day to Italy. There will be good spells of sunshine throughout the day, although some morning mist and fog patches may be slow to clear. A fair day for Greece too with more spells of sunshine here. Scattered showers for Greece but dry through Crete. Showers passing east across Turkey, some of them heavy at times. Showers and rain in Bulgaria and Romania, these falling as sleet and snow.
To the north low pressure brings cloud, sleet and snow over the Baltic States, with snow in Finland. Outbreaks of snow too for the east of Sweden. Snow showers for the rest of Sweden and Norway with some heavy showers in Denmark.

Monday
Sunny spells and showers through today over Portugal and Spain. The showers could be heavy at times, especially in the north and west. A fair day for most of France with sunny spells, but also some showers in the north and east. Cloud and periods of rain dying away from the Low Countries and northern Germany. Further cloud and drizzle in northern Poland, but central and southern areas should be drier with a few bright spells. Austria and Hungary will be dry with some bright periods and will be mild, cloud and some outbreaks of rain in Switzerland.
Some cloud and rain pushing into western parts of Italy, but more northern and eastern areas will be drier with some sunny spells. High pressure building across Greece and Turkey bringing lots of sunshine throughout Greece and Turkey as well as Crete and Cyprus. The sunshine extending through Bulgaria and Romania, although the risk of some morning mist and fog patches here as well.
To the north there will be outbreaks of snow over the Baltic States. Mostly fair in Finland with sunny spells, and cold here too. Remaining cold across Sweden with an odd snow showers, but dry for most. Snow could reach southern Denmark in the afternoon, with a mix of sunshine and scattered wintry showers for Norway.
