Heavy snow across Scandinavia
Today
Gales and heavy rain will affect England, northern France, Belgium and Holland today with rain too moving into all of Germany. Showers will affect southern France. Another area of heavy rain runs in across Portugal and western Spain but dry in the east and across into the Balearics. More snow to fall today across Denmark, Norway, Sweden into Finland, Russia and the Baltic States. Sleet is expected across Belarus with rain forecast across Poland. Fair and dry today across the Ukraine, Hungary, Romania southward into the former Yugoslavia, Bulgaria into Greece and western Turkey. Heavy rain with snow over the high elevations is expected across the Alps with much of Italy remaining dry.

A better day across the United Kingdom with most places dry with sunny spells. A few showers across Belgium and Holland but mainly dry today. A wet day across France with heavy spells of rain to come. Mainly dry today across Denmark and much of Germany. A very windy, cold day across Norway, Sweden, Finland, northern Poland, the Baltic States, Belarus and Russia with heavy spells of snow likely along with gale force winds. Milder across south east Europe with rain expected across southern Poland into the Ukraine. For Hungary, Romania, the former Yugoslavia, Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey a dry day here with some cloud and some sunshine. Just a few scattered showers in the forecast today for Portugal while Spain will be fine and dry with sunny spells. This fine weather extends east into the Balearics and into Corsica, Sardinia and all of Italy. Along with the Alpine Region.
