Fine in the Mediterranean, rain to the north
Wednesday
Some showery rain for southwest of Portugal. For the rest of Spain and Portugal the day is going to be fine with sunny spells. Cloud and a risk of some patchy rain in the far north of France, but fair through central and southern areas with good spells of sunshine here. More cloud and rain through the Low Countries and into Germany, the rain heavy at times. This rain also extends through Poland and into Austria and Hungary. Switzerland will be dry with sunny spells.
Fair weather through Italy with sunny spells, the best of them over central and southern areas. High pressure brings a fine day through Greece, although Turkey will be cold with sunshine and showers. More fair weather to come across Bulgaria and Romania.
To the north there will be strong winds and some sleet and snow moving in through the day. Finland should be staying dry with some broken cloud. Cloud, wind and snow for the south of Sweden, this affecting Denmark as well. More snow through southern Norway, but central and northern areas will be dry with sunny spells.
Thursday
An unsettled day with cloud and rain affecting the east of Spain and the Balearics. Heavy showers across northern Spain, with some rain into the far northwest of Spain and Portugal later. Elsewhere it should be dry with sunny spells. A mild day in France with sunny spells, although rain will be affecting more southern and western areas. Cloud and some drizzle through the Low Countries and into Germany and Poland. Hungary and Austria as well as Switzerland should all be fair with sunny spells.
A fair and mild day across Italy with sunny spells. The sunshine continues to affect Greece and Turkey. Showers affecting Bulgaria and Romania, some of them heavy at times.
Mainly dry across the Baltic States and Finland too. There will be cloud and showers, with sleet over Finland. Low pressure brings wintry showers through southern Sweden, but dry to the north. Cloud and some sleet or rain over Denmark with Norway being mainly dry with sunny spells.
