Today
A mainly dry day to come across the United Kingdom today. Across much of France expect a lot of cloud and some rain and showers though sunnier in the far south. Fair and dry across Belgium with a few showers across the Netherlands while some light snow falls across Norway, Sweden into Denmark and Germany. Heavy snow is likely across Switzerland, Austria into Hungary, the former Yugoslavia into Romania. Another area of light snow is forecast across Poland, The Baltic States into Belarus with a dry, cold day across Russia. A spell of heavier snow will fall across Finland today and bitterly cold as well. The mildest weather across Europe today will be across southern Portugal though much of Iberia will be dry with the best of the sunshine in the south. This fine weather is to extend into the Balearics. A cold day across Italy with outbreaks of rain, sleet and snow. A number of showers to come across Bulgaria and Albania today with heavier rain through Greece. Dry today across Turkey.

The cold, wintry weather remains entrenched across Scandinavia and eastern Europe. It turns colder across England but a mainly dry day to come. Colder too across Belgium and Holland with a risk of s few snow showers. A lot of cloud an da chilly day across France but generally a dry day. A sunnier day expected across Germany though snow showers will fall across Bavaria. Outbreaks of snow will fall across northern parts of Norway and across Finland. This area is to extend down across the Baltic States into Poland, Hungary into Romania, the former Yugoslavia and Bulgaria. This looks quite heavy with significant accumulations likely. Snow showers will affect western Norway but dry in the east and sunnier across Sweden today. Rain and heavy showers are likely across Greece and Turkey. Further spells of rain, sleet and snow are exacted across Italy today though drying up in the north. Late in the day rain will arrive across Portugal but for Spain it's a fine, mostly sunny day.
