A wintry mix for Italy
Today
Today much of Europe is going to be cold. Outbreaks of light snow will fall across the United Kingdom. Dry but rather cloudy across France, Belgium and Holland. A similar day for Germany with a dry but rather cold, cloudy day to come. Lots of cold, crisp wintry sunshine will be on offer for southern parts of Norway and Sweden with snow in the north. Another area of heavy snow is forecast for Finland. Dry across northern Russia today with snow in the south and this turns heavy as it extends across the Ukraine, Romania, into the former Yugoslavia and Bulgaria. Some light snow to come across Poland but a dry, cold and cloudy day for the Baltic States and Hungary. Snow showers will affect the Alpine Region but won't be as heavy. Wet across Portugal, Spain into the Balearics with outbreaks of moderate to heavy rain. Still cold but mainly dry across Italy. Expect a few showers across Greece but lots of showers for Turkey.
Tuesday
Continued cold today with just a few snow flurries for England. Dry and sunnier into northern France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Denmark and southern parts of Germany. For northern Germany and southern France some light snow to come. Sunny but cold and dry across Norway while heavy snow is likely across Sweden, Finland, Russia, the Baltic States and down into Belarus into the Ukraine. Some lightish snow to fall today across Hungary, Croatia and Bosnia. Dry but cold across Bulgaria and Romania with snow for Turkey while Greece will be more settled and dry today. Quite a few showers will affect Spain today with heavier rain into the Balearics across into Corsica and Sardinia. Rain mixed with sleet and snow will spread into Italy late in the day.
