An unsettled day for most of Europe with rain for many
Monday
Windy with outbreaks of rain across Portugal and northwest Spain today. Sunny spells through Spain with a few showers over the north of Spain, some of them heavy. An unsettled day and windy over northern France with showers here, drier to the south with some sunny spells. Cloud and rain across the Low Countries and Germany. Poland will have cloud and showers in the west, but fair to the east and south. Hungary will be mainly dry, but thicker cloud over Austria and Switzerland bringing outbreaks of rain.
Low pressure gives periods of showers and rain over Italy, some of it heavy in the west. A fair day to come across Greece with more sunshine here, although increasing cloud and some rain across western Greece. Crete will be dry and fair as will be Cyprus. More sunshine across Turkey. Bulgaria and Romania will be dry with good spells of sunshine.
The Baltic States will have some outbreak of snow and this affecting Finland as well. Much of Sweden should be dry with sunny spells, although cloud and some rain to the south. A cloudy day over Denmark with more rain and sleet here. Sunny spells and wintry showers for Norway.
Tuesday
Strong westerly winds will bring sunshine and heavy showers across Portugal and Spain. Much of eastern Spain should be dry with some sunny spells here. A fair day across much of France although there could be some showers. Cloud and some rain and sleet across the Netherlands with more rain over the far north of Germany. Showers for more southern parts of Germany and Poland. Austria and Hungary will have sunny spells and dry weather, just a few showers passing through Switzerland.
Further showers over Italy, some of them heavy at times, especially in the west. Greece and Crete should be generally dry with sunny spells. A few showers for Cyprus and parts of Turkey, where an odd one of them could be heavy. Snow showers in Bulgaria and Romania.
Cloud and some outbreaks of sleet and snow for the Baltic States, but mainly fair over Finland. Cloud and snow for the south of Sweden, fair through northern areas. More snow to come across Denmark. Sunny spells and snow showers over southern parts of Norway.
