A fine day for much of the southern Mediterranean, but rain through central and northern areas
Thursday
A fine day to come across Portugal and Spain. Good spells of sunshine throughout the day and feeling warm here too. Some showers could affect the far south and far north of France. There will be good spells of sunshine for most, although it will be feeling cool in the north. Showers and breezy as well as cool through the Low Countries and northern parts of Germany. For Poland the day should be dry with sunny spells, with the fair and sunny conditions extending throughout Hungary and Austria. Switzerland should be fair too with more periods of sunshine to come here.
Some cloud and showers, or longer spells of rain, will be affecting the north of Italy. Central and southern areas will be dry with sunny spells. Apart from an odd shower most of Greece should be dry with sunshine. The dry weather extends to Crete too with Cyprus enjoying fine conditions. Turkey will be far with more sunshine to come here. Showers or longer spells of rain in Bulgaria and Romania.
Cloud and periods of rain affecting the Baltic States and Finland. Cold through Sweden and unsettled here too with more rain and showers. Further wind and showers for Denmark and Norway, some of the showers and rain heavy at times.
Friday
An area of cloud and rain will be drifting into the northwest of Portugal and northern Spain today. Much of southern and central Spain stays dry with further spells of sunshine through the day. Fair for the far south of France, but through central and northern areas it is going to be cloudy with rain, some of this heavy at times. The rain arriving in the Low Countries too. Germany should have a dry day with more spells of sunshine, and it should be mainly dry too in Poland. A fair day to come for Austria and Hungary with Switzerland dry as well.
Sunny spells and scattered showers to come through Italy, with some of those showers being heavy at times. Further showers to come for Greece and Crete, although some high cloud will be making the sunshine hazy across Turkey and Cyprus. Bulgaria and Romania will have scattered showers, a few of them heavy, but sunny spells too.
Further north and the Baltic States has cloud and some spots of drizzle. A cloudy day too for Finland where there could be some drizzle at times. Generally fine for Sweden with sunny spells, but cloud and some showers as well as a strong southerly wind affect Denmark and Norway.
