Thunderstorms across eastern Europe
Today
High pressure dominates much of Europe today. Lots of fine, sunny weather is expected from England across the channel into France, the Low Counties into Holland and Germany. A very warm to hot, sunny day across Spain with highs near 40C in Seville. Dry and sunny into the Balearics across into Corsica and Sardinia. Some rain to come across Poland but fine for much of Poland today. That area of rain and showers will affect Belarus, Russia, Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria and the former Yugoslavia. Fine and sunny weather is expected across Greece into Turkey with a few showers across Italy with a fair amount of cloud too. For much of Scandinavia it's looking dry but more cloudy conditions through Finland.
Saturday
A very warm day to come across western Europe today. Warm across England with just the odd afternoon shower. Same across France with sunny spells and a few sharp showers in the west. Hot across much of Portugal and Spain with sunshine and this fine weather is to extend eastward across the Balearics into Italy while a few sharp showers affect the Alpine Region. Dry and sunny across into Germany, Holland, Belgium into Denmark and up into Sweden and Norway. Some heavy showers to develop across northern Finland but for southern Finland, Russia into the Baltic States, Belarus and Poland it's mostly sunny, dry and bit cooler today. Plenty of heavy showers and thunderstorms are expected across Romania, the former Yugoslavia into Bulgaria and Greece but mainly dry across Turkey. A better day to come across Italy with much of the country dry and sunny.
