Today
Showers and heavy rain are expected across the United Kingdom today with lots of showers too to affect much of France. These will be interspersed with sunnier spells. Morning rain across Belgium and Holland clears to heavy afternoon showers with lots of heavy showers also for Germany across the Alpine Region into Hungary. Quite wet with rain across Denmark into Norway and Sweden while Finland looks dry and mostly sunny. It's a day of sunshine and showers across Russia with rain clearing the Baltic Stales in the morning. High pressure should give the Ukraine, Romania, much of the former Yugoslavia and Greece a fine, dry day and warm as well except for the odd shower. More cloud and more in the way of showers are expected across Turkey today. Southern parts of Spain will be dry but rain is to fall in the north and across much of Portugal. Lots of sunshine form the Balearics into Corsica and Sardinia with sunny spells and a few showers across Italy.

A very unsettled weather picture across western Europe today. Heavy rain and heavy showers will fall across Spain and Portugal with the area of heavy rain running up across France into Belgium, Holland and into Denmark. Further showers and rain to come across Britain today with showers across Germany, Poland and Norway. More rain is expected across Denmark into Sweden and the Baltic States but for much of Finland it is set to stay dry but cloudier today. With high pressure in charge, much of eastern Europe is looking fine and settled. Lots of sunshine across Russia into Belarus, the Ukraine into Romania, Bulgaria across into Greece while frequent, heavy and thundery showers are forecast across Turkey. A nice day across Italy day, warm with long sunny spells.
