A very unsettled weather picture across western and central parts of Europe today. Heavy rain and heavy showers will fall across Spain and Portugal with the area of heavy rain running up across France into Belgium, Holland and into Denmark. Further showers and rain to come across Britain today with showers across Germany, Poland and Norway. More rain is expected across Denmark into Sweden and the Baltic States but for much of Finland it is set to stay dry but cloudier today. With high pressure in charge, much of eastern Europe is looking fine and settled. Lots of sunshine across Russia into Belarus, the Ukraine into Romania, Bulgaria across into Greece while frequent, heavy and thundery showers are forecast across Turkey. A nice day across Italy day, warm with long sunny spells.

Heavy rain is expected across England today with frequent heavy showers and scattered thunderstorms across Holland, Belgium, much of France and across much of Portugal and Spain. Rain is expected across Denmark and across into the far south of Sweden. Mainly dry though for much of Finland, Sweden and Finland with sunny spells. Heavy showers are forecast across Russia and the Baltic States but a good deal of dry weather is expected across Poland, Germany and Belarus. Lots of warm sunshine will be found across the Ukraine into Hungary, the former Yugoslavia south into Romania, Greece and Bulgaria. Showers develop across inland parts of Turkey today but good sunny spells as well. A fine, warm day to come across Italy today and this fine weather will extend across Sardinia, Corsica into the Balearics.
