Western Mediterranean stays unsettled with sunshine in the east
Monday
Low pressure across Spain brings another unusually unsettled day for mid June. There will be heavy and thundery showers across much of central, eastern and southern Spain. Fair conditions for Iberia though with sunny spells here. Some heavy showers could affect much of France, especially more eastern areas, with cloud and some outbreaks of rain in the north. The risk of some cloud or showery rain for the Low Countries too. Poland and Germany will be mainly dry, although some cloud may affect more southern areas of the countries. Austria has broken cloud and sunny spells, with Hungary mainly dry. The risk of some heavy showers in western Switzerland.
Italy should have a dry day with sunny spells, just a low risk of a heavy shower in the north. High pressure keeps Greece and Crete fine and warm with lots of sunshine. Staying fine for much of Turkey, although the risk of a heavy shower in the north. Bulgaria and Romania are fine too with plenty of sunshine.
For the baltic States and Finland expect a mix of sunny spells and scattered heavy showers. More sunshine and scattered showers through Sweden, the shower risk intensified over Denmark and Norway.
Tuesday
Showers could again break out over Spain and Portugal, these tending to be more scattered than recent days. Heavy showers over northern coasts of Spain too. Heavy showers across France with a risk of thunderstorms too. The heaviest of the showers over northern France, and some showers into the Low Countries too. Cloud and hazy sunshine through Germany, but mainly fair over Poland. Heavy thunderstorms could affect Hungary, Austria and Hungary.
Low pressure brings unsettled weather and heavy showers to Italy. These could be heaviest over northern parts of Italy. For Greece the day is going to be dry with good spells of sunshine. heavy showers affecting central Turkey but coastal regions will be fair throughout. A fine day to come in Bulgaria and Romania with more warm sunshine here.
Sunshine and scattered showers affecting the Baltic States, with some heavy showers over Finland. Those showers troubling Sweden too, although Norway is going to be fair with sunny spells. Denmark has a mix of sunshine and showers.
