Cool but dry across Scandinavia
Today
A fine and dry day to come with sunny spells across England, Belgium and Holland but with a cool breeze. Much of Germany and Poland also look dry with sunny spells, dominated by high pressure. Just a few well scattered showers are forecast across the Baltic States while heavier and more numerous showers affect Finland. For Norway, Sweden and Denmark it looks cool but dry. Heavy rain is likely today across Russia while mach of Belarus and the Ukraine is dry with decent spells of sunshine. Rather hot across the Balkans today with a dry day in store for Romania, Bulgaria, the former Yugoslavia, Greece and Turkey. Hungary can expect some rain to move in during the afternoon and this extends across the Alpine Region into France and Italy along with some sharp showers. Lots of fine, very warm weather across Portugal and parts of Spain but a few afternoon showers develop across eastern Spain. Morning rain clears the Balearics by the afternoon.

It's looking rather unsettled and wet across much of France again today with spells of rain and some heavy showers and these may extend across the far north of Spain with a risk of thunder. Central and southern parts of Spain look fine, sunny and warm. The rain across France will also extend across southern parts of Germany into Switzerland, Austria and Hungary and will be heavy. It should stay fair and dry across Belgium, Holland and the northern half of Germany into all of Poland with sunny spells. Very warm to hot weather continues across the former Yugoslavia into Romania, Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey. Dry and sunny here but a few heavy showers may develop across Romania. A dry day for the Ukraine up into Belarus and into the Baltic States. Plenty of showers are forecast across Russia today and some heavy with thunder, rather cool across eastern Europe. Much of Scandinavia should be fine and dry today with a fair amount of sunshine and occasional cloud but cool here as well.
