Staying fine for much of Europe with more sunshine to come
Thursday
Thunderstorms developing across Spain and Portugal today, some of these heavy. Coastal areas should be dry with sunny spells and will become very warm. A warm day through France too with plenty of sunshine. Fine for the Low Countries and Germany with more sunshine here and another fine day for Poland. Austria, Hungary and Switzerland will all have sunny spells and will be remaining warm.
Plenty of sunshine to come across Italy throughout today. This sunshine extends through Greece, with some heavy showers forming over Turkey and running north towards Bulgaria and Romania.
The baltic States should be dry with sunny spells, and it stays dry in Finland as well. Generally fair across Sweden, although some cloud and showery rain troubles Denmark. Norway will be mainly dry with sunny spells, although some cloud in the west later.
Friday
A hot and sunny day to come across Spain and Portugal today. This hot and sunny weather extending into France, although there could be a few thunderstorms in the northeast. Thundery showers for the Low Countries as well, with a few of these making it into Germany where it is going to be hot too. Staying fine and hot across Poland with more sunshine here. There will be further spells of sunshine to come for Hungary, Austria and Switzerland and it should be remaining dry.
Italy will be under the influence of high pressure and this is going to be giving lots of sunshine and dry conditions throughout the day. Staying dry and sunny in Greece and this sunshine continuing over Crete, Cyprus and southern Turkey. Thundery showers affecting northern Turkey, Bulgaria and Romania.
The Baltic States will be fine and dry with more sunshine to come here. Further spells of sunshine for Finland and dry too, with mainly dry weather for Denmark in sunny spells. Norway should be dry and there will be sunny periods throughout the day.
