Today
A mostly fine, dry day to come across Britain on Friday with sunny spells. Most of France too looks dry and warm, just the odd shower in the north east and south east. Look out for some heavy showers with a risk of a few thundery ones for Belgium and Holland. Thundery rain will affect southern Germany and the Alpine Region with northern Germany have some heavy showers. With high pressure across eastern Europe we can expect a good deal of dry, settled weather across Russia into the Baltic States, Poland, Hungary, Belarus, The Ukraine southward into Romania, into the former Yugoslavia and Bulgaria. Very warm and sunny across into Greece, Turkey and into Italy. The hot, sunny weather continues across Spain and Portugal and across into the Balearics. Lots of cloud across Scandinavia with showers across Norway and southern parts of Sweden and Finland.

A cloudier day across Britain today with some patchy bits of rain around. Across France, Belgium and Holland it looks fine and dry with sunny and this extends into northern and western parts of Germany. Heavy thundery rain is expected across eastern and southern parts of Germany into Austria, Poland and Finland. Lots of very warm to hot sunshine is expected across Russia, The Baltic States into Belarus. High temperatures will trigger plenty of heavy showers with scattered thunderstorms across Austria, Hungary, the former Yugoslavia and the Ukraine. Fine and sunny across Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey today with much of Italy also warm and sunny. Another hot, sunny day across Spain and Portugal today. Just a few showers for Norway and Denmark with all of Sweden fine and dry.
