Showers in the east
Today
Hot across England today and dry with sunny spells. Across France it's a day of sunshine and showers, some will turn heavy with a risk of thunder later in the afternoon and into the evening. A few heavy showers too today across Switzerland. The hot, sunny weather continues across Spain into the Balearics and eastward into Italy, Greece and Turkey. Just a few isolated showers to come today across Norway and Sweden with sunny spells while it is a dry day across Finland. Still some heavy showers to come across Russia today and again these stretch down into the Ukraine and into Romania. The fine, settled weather continues across central parts of Europe with another fine, summery day expected across Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands. Poland, Belarus, Hungary, The Baltic States, along with the former Yugoslavia and Bulgaria.

A hit day to come across much of Europe today with a lot of fine dry weather. Lots of sunshine to come across England into France but a few showers nay affect western France. Fine, sunny and hot across Belgium, Holland and Denmark but a few showers may affect Holland in the afternoon. Much of Germany looks dry but a few sharp showers may affect the west and some heavy ones to come across the Alpine Region. Rain is forecast for Norway today but across Sweden and Norway it looks fine and sunny. High pressure in the east will also keep it very summery and warm with sunny skies across Russia, Belarus, The Baltic States, Poland and, Hungary. Across the Ukraine into Romania, Bosnia, Serbia, Croatia and Bulgaria it's a day of sunshine and showers, some heavy ones with isolated thunderstorms. For Greece and Turkey another warm, sunny day to come. The very hot weather continues across Spain with unbroken sunshine. Fine and sunny as well across the Balearics into Italy.
