Showers in the east

Today
The hot weather continues across much of Europe today. Showers will move across Britain today with a few heavy ones across Belgium and Holland. Showery rain will affect northern parts of France with the south fine and sunny A few showers too today across Denmark with sunny spells. Persistent rain spreads in across Finland while it's dry and sunny across Sweden. Heavy showers are forecast across Finland and The Baltic States. For Russia expect a dry, very warm summer's day and this extends across Belarus into Poland, the Ukraine into Germany. A few showers develop across the Alpine Region and Hungary but it's mainly dry and fine. High pressure will keep it fine and sunny across the Ukraine, Romania, into the former Yugoslavia, Greece and Turkey. Another hot one across Spain and Portugal with unbroken sunshine. Sunny as well across the Balearics into Italy.

Some showers to come across England today with a few too across the Low Countries. Some heavy ones with a risk of thunder may affect Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Germany. Another hot, sunny day to come across Portugal and Spain. For France lots of very warm sunshine will be on offer too. Some thunderstorms will affect Switzerland and Austria today. Sunny across Finland into Russia, the Baltic States and down into Belarus, into Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey. Just a few well scattered shower develop across the former Yugoslavia today with sunny spells. Across the Mediterranean into Italy we can expect a fine, very warm summer's day.
