Cloud and rain over northern parts of Europe, with drier, sunnier weather to the south
Thursday
Another hot day for Spain and Portugal today. Good spells of sunshine throughout the day. A band of cloud and some showers across southern parts of France, with more central and northern areas being dry and sunny. A few showers to come over the Low Countries, these affecting parts of Germany too. Poland sees cloud and periods of rain at times. Further cloud and rain for Hungary, with some showers across Austria and Switzerland.
High pressure across Italy brings fine conditions here with good spells of sunshine. There will be further sunshine through the day over all parts of Greece and Turkey, as well as Cyprus and Crete. Bulgaria and Romania should be dry with sunny spells.
To the north low pressure brings showery rain to the Baltic States, with more persistent rain in Finland. Norway has an unsettled day with heavy showers here, and some showers will be affecting Denmark and Norway too.
Friday
A hot day again over Spain and Portugal with plenty of sunshine. More sunshine over France and warm again too. Staying fine through the Low Countries and Germany as well as Poland with more sunshine here. There will be some cloud and rain over Hungary with Austria and Switzerland being dry with some sunny spells.
Cloudier skies across northern parts of Italy today. A few thundery showers could be developing through central and southern parts of Italy. Greece is likely to be dry with good spells of sunshine throughout the day here. There will be more sunshine for Turkey, this extending into Bulgaria and Romania.
Staying unsettled over the Baltic States with more showers here, and some of these may be heavy. Further cloud and showers for Finland, with more persistent rain across much of Sweden. Norway sees some showers, a few of them heavy and these will be spreading through Sweden too.
