Fine across the Mediterranean

Today
Still quite a few showers to come across Britain today and these will also develop quite widely across France, many turning heavy with a risk of thunder across France. For Belgium, Holland and much of Norway it's a fine, dry day with sunny spells. Heavier rain will affect Austria, Switzerland and the far north of Italy with southern and central parts of Italy dry and sunny. Heavy showery rain will fall across Denmark into Sweden with sunny spells and just a few showers across Finland. High pressure across eastern Europe will give Russia, The Baltic States, Belarus, Germany, Hungary, Romania, the former Yugoslavia, Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey a fine, very warm and sunny day. Hot though across Russia. Much of Spain and Portugal will be sunny and dry though the odd shower may affect the east of Spain. Sunny into the Balearics with just a few showers around Corsica and Sardinia.

Sunday
A dry day for the United Kingdom today. Much more unsettled across the channel into France, Belgium, Holland and Germany with heavy, frequent showers and outbreaks of rain, even some thunder storms possible. These will also affect much of Switzerland today with a dry day across Austria and Hungary. We have high pressure across north east Europe today so for Norway, Finland and Sweden it looks sunny and dry. Mainly dry as well across Russia and still hot here. Lots over very warm sunshine will also be found across The Baltic States into Poland, Belarus and southward to the Mediterranean into Bulgaria, the Ukraine, the former Yugoslavia, Greece and Turkey. For all of Italy expect a warm, sunny day and this extends across into the Balearics, Spain and Portugal.
