Showers or rain in north, but fine in the south

Thursday
Plenty of sunshine again today for Spain and Portugal. Southern France should be dry, sunny and warm, although to the north there will be some cloud and outbreaks of rain. The heaviest of the rain, together with some strong winds will be affecting the Low Countries, and this rain penetrates east to Germany and Poland. Mainly fine for most of Hungary, Austria and Switzerland.
A fine day to come across the whole of Italy thanks to an area of high pressure which extends throughout the country. More sunshine to come for Greece and Turkey, with the fine weather extending to Bulgaria and Romania.
Low pressure dominates over the Baltic States bringing cloud and rain here, with some cloud and showery rain for Sweden too. Mainly fair in Denmark, but a few showers to come for Norway.

Friday
Some cloud for the far northwest of Spain today, perhaps bringing a few spots of rain. For most of Iberia the day is going to be fine and sunny, as well as feeling very warm. More sunshine for southern France although cloud through central areas could bring some rain here. Staying largely fine for northern France. Some cloud clearing from the Low Countries and Germany bringing some sunshine. Cloud and rain for Poland where some of it could be heavy. The risk of some heavy thunderstorms breaking out ion Hungary, and perhaps turning showery for Switzerland and Austria too.
Italy looks set to have a fine day with plenty of sunshine throughout. This sunshine affecting Greece, Crete, Cyprus and Turkey as well as extending north through Bulgaria and Romania.
Low pressure brings lots of cloud and rain to the Baltic States and Finland, some of the rain heavy at times. More cloud and some rain across Sweden, an odd shower affecting Denmark too. Norway should be fair with sunny spells although some showers here and there.
