Staying settled across eastern Europe

Today
A wet and windy day to come across England today. This rain area extends across into Belgium, Holland across into much of Germany as well. Later this rain reaches western parts of Poland with a few showers in the east. A cloudy and damp day across Norway and Sweden with outbreaks of rain while showers are expected across Finland and the Baltic States. With high pressure dominating eastern Europe we'll find lots of fine, settled weather across Russia, the Ukraine, into Belarus, Romania and down across Hungary and Turkey. There a risk of a few sharp showers across Greece, the former Yugoslavia and Bulgaria. Look out for some heavy showers today across the southern half of Italy while the north is dry and sunnier. Again Spain and Portugal will have the best of the warmest sunshine and fine too across the Balearics into France with long sunny spells.
