Spells of rain across Europe and unsettled, drier in the east
Today
A chilly but dry day to come across England on today bur rain spreads in through the evening and night. Mostly cloudy across the northern half of France with some light rain, the south looks dry and sunnier. Early rain will clear Belgium and Holland then dry and sunnier. A wet day across Denmark, Norway, Sweden and northern Germany with spells of rain though some snow will affect the high ground of Norway. Fair and dry across southern parts of Germany with sunny spells across Poland, Hungry, and Finland. Some light rain is forecast across Russia and the Baltic States today. Lots of sunshine is expected across the Ukraine, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey today. Heavy rain across Italy will move into the former Yugoslavia late in the day and night. Showers are expected around Corsica and Sardinia. Lots of fine, sunny weather to come today across Portugal, Spain into the Balearics but still rather chilly with the winds from the north east.
Wednesday
For England and the northern half of France into Belgium, Luxemburg, the Netherlands and Denmark rain is expected. This rain area will extend across Sweden, Finland, Russia, the Baltic States and the extreme north of Poland. This rain will be heavy. Windy across Scandinavia today with sunny spells and snow showers for Norway. Much of Germany looks dry with the best of the sunshine in the south. A warmer and sunny day is expected across Portugal, Spain and the Balearics, particularly in the south. Fair and dry across the Alpine Region with sunshine and showers in the forecast across Italy. Lots of dry, sunnier weather to the east across the former Yugoslavia, Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania into southern Poland and the Ukraine.
