Very unsettled in the Mediterranean, cold to the north

Sunday
A breezy day over Spain and Portugal with showers and some periods of rain over northern and western coasts of Spain and Portugal. More eastern and southern areas seeing some showers as well. Low pressure across southern France ensures that the weather here is generally cloudy and wet with some heavy rain. Drier to the far north and breezy too. Dry weather to come through the Low Countries and Germany as well as Poland bringing some sunny spells. Across Austria and Hungary as well as Switzerland the weather will be cloudy with periods of rain.
Across much of central and southern Italy the day is going to be bright with some showers. Greece is going to be dry with sunny spells and it will be remaining fair through Turkey too. Some fog patches across Bulgaria and Romania, although these slowly clearing.
To the north there will be cloud, sleet and snow over Finland. The Baltic States will be dry and cold with sunny spells. Sweden is going to be cold and dry, although there could be some sleet and snow to the far south. More cloud and some sleet through Denmark with most of Norway being dry with sunny spells.

Monday
Cloud and showery rain lying through central parts of Spain today. This is going to be producing some outbreaks of mainly light rain. Fair conditions for southern and western Portugal with good spells of sunshine. Through France there will be some showers around, a few of them heavy to the north. Further heavy showers to come through the Low Countries and some heavy, persistent rain with strong winds over Germany and Poland. More cloud, rain and strong winds for Austria, Hungary and Switzerland.
Low pressure continues to give rain and cloud to Italy, some of the rain heavy here. More heavy showers for western Greece, although most of the country should be dry. A largely sunny day for Greece with showers affecting Bulgaria and Romania.
More cloud and some sleet or snow through the Baltic States. Fair and cold for Finland with sunny spells here. There will be some cloud over eastern parts of Sweden, but sunny to the west. Breezy across Denmark and Norway with sunny spells and feeling cold here too.
