Very cold across northern Europe, cloud and rain to the far south
Wednesday
Cloud and some rain over the far south of Portugal and Spain. Across more central and northern areas it should be drier with some sunny spells. Across France there could be some mist and fog in the morning, but this should be clearing away. Showers over the Low Countries, wintry at times, and these wintry showers affecting Germany and Poland and too. Fair for Austria, Hungary and Switzerland, although feeling cold here.
Low pressure over Italy will be continuing to bring more showers or rain here. fair across Greece with plenty of sunshine, although cloud and some showers spread eastwards through Turkey. heavy showers for Bulgaria and Romania, these turning increasingly wintry.
A deep area of low pressure across Scandinavia brings strong winds through Finland with snow, and this extends to southern Finland too. Breezy for the east coasts of Sweden and dry here with some sunshine. Denmark and Norway will be dry with sunny spells but feeling very cold.
Thursday
Cloud and rain across central and eastern parts of Spain today. Portugal should be dry with sunny spells. Across France there will be heavy showers, most through central and southern areas, and cold everywhere too. More heavy showers to come across the Low Countries. Germany should be dry and cold with similar conditions across Poland too. Some sunshine to come through Austria, Hungary and Switzerland where it will be dry and cold, although there may be some mist or fog in the morning.
Low pressure for Italy will allow some showers to form here and these could be heavy at times. Heavy showers affecting Greece too, with showery conditions across Turkey. Bulgaria and Romania will have some heavy showers and these could be heavy.
To the north low pressure will be bringing cloud and snow through the Baltic States with very cold weather, snow and strong winds affecting Finland too. Sweden may have some wintry showers in the east, but for most of the country it will be a dry and cold day. Dry and cold over Norway and Denmark too.
