A very unsettled day across much of Europe with cold air in the north

Thursday
Cloud and rain across central and eastern parts of Spain today. Portugal should be dry with sunny spells. Across France there will be heavy showers, most through central and southern areas, and cold everywhere too. More heavy showers to come across the Low Countries. Germany should be dry and cold with similar conditions across Poland too. Some sunshine to come through Austria, Hungary and Switzerland where it will be dry and cold, although there may be some mist or fog in the morning.
Low pressure for Italy will allow some showers to form here and these could be heavy at times. Heavy showers affecting Greece too, with showery conditions across Turkey. Bulgaria and Romania will have some heavy showers and these could be heavy.
To the north low pressure will be bringing cloud and snow through the Baltic States with very cold weather, snow and strong winds affecting Finland too. Sweden may have some wintry showers in the east, but for most of the country it will be a dry and cold day. Dry and cold over Norway and Denmark too.

Friday
Cloud and some drizzle over the far south of Spain. Elsewhere through Portugal and Spain the weather will be dry with good spells of sunshine. More sunshine to come across France, although rain will arrives in the far northwest. Sleet and snow showers affecting the Low Countries and Germany as well as Poland. Sunny spells across Hungary, but snow showers through Austria and Switzerland.
Low pressure in the Mediterranean brings very unsettled weather here with rain, some heavy for mid and southern areas. Cloud and rain for Greece, especially in the west. Turkey has heavy showers to the west with the east being fine. Some low cloud across Bulgaria and Romania, but dry overall here.
To the north there will be snow showers in the Baltic States. Finland should be dry but bitterly cold. Staying very cold through Sweden and Norway as well as Denmark but dry overall.
