Snow across France, northern Europe

Today
A cold day across Britain with snow showers. Mainly dry with sunny spells today across Belgium and Holland with a few coastal wintry showers. Light snow is expected across central France but fair and dry in the north and south. Cold across Spain today with rain moving into the far south of Iberia. Dry elsewhere and across the Balearics. Northern Italy looks fair and dry but rain is expected in the south and across into Bulgaria, Greece and the former Yugoslavia. Heavy snow is expected across the Alps and southern Germany. Fair and dry across northern Germany into Poland and Belarus. Bitterly cold across Scandinavia with snow expected across Denmark, Sweden, Finland, The Baltic States into Russia. A dry day across Norway. Rain, sleet and snow will fall across The Ukraine today but fine and sunny across Romania. Lots of sunshine as well today across Turkey.

Saturday
Cold but mainly dry across England today. Outbreaks of snow are forecast across northern France, fine and dry in the south. More rain to come across the far south of Spain today. Fair, chilly but dry across Portugal and the rest of Spain. Rain is expected across the Balearics across Sardinia into southern Italy. Northern Italy will remain fair and dry. A few snow showers will be near the coast of Belgium, Holland and Denmark otherwise a dry, cold day. Heavy snow is expected across southern Sweden with snow also across southern Norway, Finland, Poland and The Ukraine and Russia. Very cold across the Baltic States but dry. Continued dry with sunny spells across Romania, Turkey, Bulgaria and Greece. Mainly dry as well across the former Yugoslavia into Hungry and across Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
