Turning colder as polar air pushes south
Saturday
A fair day to come across Spain and Portugal. There will be some good spells of sunshine and it should be staying dry throughout. More fair weather over the south of France with some good sunny spells here, but to the north an area of cloud and rain will be edging southwards.; Cloud and rain for the Low Countries and well and this affecting Germany and Poland. Austria will be dry with sunny spells, and it will be staying dry through Hungary and Switzerland.
For Italy the day is dry with sunshine here and it is going to be remaining dry through Greece too with more spells of sunshine. The threat of some showers across Greece and Turkey, and these could be heavy at times. More fair weather to come through Bulgaria and Romania.
To the north cloud and rain affect the Baltic States, with some wintry showers through Finland. Sunny spells and wintry showers across most of Sweden, but cloud and some rain affecting the far south of Sweden. Some rain through Denmark too, but for Norway the day is going to be dry with sunny spells and feeling cold.
Sunday
The area of cloud and rain will be pushing into central parts of Portugal and the central and northern parts of Spain on Sunday, bringing much colder weather with it. Cloud and some rain over southern France with sunny spells and heavy showers for central and northern parts of the country; much colder here too. A cold day with sunny spells and scattered showers in the Low Countries whilst Germany is cooler too, as is Poland with sunshine. Cloudier skies and damp across Hungary, Austria and Switzerland with drizzle at times.
Northern Italy will be in the damp, grey, autumnal conditions. For the rest of the country it should be dry with sunny spells. Greece is going to enjoy a fine day with sunny spells whilst Turkey is dry too with more sunshine here. Bulgaria and Romania may have some morning mist and fog, but this should clear to allow sunny spells and dry conditions.
To the north there will be a few showers through the Baltic States. Further showers into Finland whilst Sweden is dry with sunny spells. More sunshine come over Denmark and Norway with dry weather here.
