Showers and rain through the central Mediterranean, but fair to the north
Tuesday
Fair across Portugal and Spain with plenty of sunshine and dry conditions. More sunshine for most of France, although again some cloud and rain to the southeast of the country. A few showers over the Low Countries and the far north of Germany with cloud and rain across Poland. More cloud and some drizzle for Hungary with rain into Austria and Switzerland.
Low pressure dominates over Italy with cloud and rain. The rain could be heavy at times, mainly in the north, but then turning more showery through the day. High pressure over Greece brings sunshine and dry weather here. More sunshine across Turkey and dry here as well. Some morning fog across Bulgaria and Romania, but this is going to be clearing away with sunny spells developing.
Cloud and some outbreaks of rain in the Baltic States. A drier day for Finland with sunshine here. Staying fine across Sweden with more sunshine here. Fair too for most of Norway, with showers across southern Sweden and Denmark, some of them heavy at times.
Wednesday
Cloud and rain spreading eastwards through Portugal and Spain today, some of it heavy at times. More cloud and rain over western parts of France. Eastern France will be dry with sunny spells and it will be dry through the Low Countries and Germany. Poland will have cloud and some outbreaks of rain. More cloud and rain through Hungary, Austria and Switzerland.
Cloud and rain over the far north of Italy. The rest of the country will have showers, some of them heavy at times. There will be further periods of showers and rain through Greece and the east of Turkey. More eastern parts of Turkey will be dry with sunny spells. Bulgaria and Romania will be dry with sunny spells, although morning fog could take time to clear.
To the north high pressure becomes a major feature through Scandinavia, bringing cold and sunny weather through Finland and the Baltic States. More sunshine across Norway and Sweden as well as Denmark, and staying dry here.
