Some showers across Portugal today with a band of more persistent cloud and outbreaks of rain through eastern and southern parts of Spain. There will be cloud and rain affecting the south and west of France too, with more central and northern areas being dry with sunny spells. More sunshine to come through the Low Countries and Germany as well as Poland, although morning fog patches will be causing problems here. Morning fog will be a problem in Hungary and Austria too, although Switzerland should be better with sunny spells.
For Italy there will be some cloud and a few spots of drizzle, this continuing in northern and western areas throughout the day. Greece and Turkey should enjoy fine conditions with some good spells of sunshine here throughout the day. Some fog could affect Bulgaria and Romania during the morning, but this lifting to leave sunny spells.
For the Baltic States the day is going to be cloudy with some outbreaks of sleet and snow. More wintry weather over the south of Finland, but cold and frosty to the north. Cloud and some wintry showers over southern Sweden and Denmark. Northern parts of Sweden and most of Norway will be dry with sunny spells, although will be feeling cold.
Sunday
A breezy day over Spain and Portugal with showers and some periods of rain over northern and western coasts of Spain and Portugal. More eastern and southern areas seeing some showers as well. Low pressure across southern France ensures that the weather here is generally cloudy and wet with some heavy rain. Drier to the far north and breezy too. Dry weather to come through the Low Countries and Germany as well as Poland bringing some sunny spells. Across Austria and Hungary as well as Switzerland the weather will be cloudy with periods of rain.
Across much of central and southern Italy the day is going to be bright with some showers. Greece is going to be dry with sunny spells and it will be remaining fair through Turkey too. Some fog patches across Bulgaria and Romania, although these slowly clearing.
To the north there will be cloud, sleet and snow over Finland. The Baltic States will be dry and cold with sunny spells. Sweden is going to be cold and dry, although there could be some sleet and snow to the far south. More cloud and some sleet through Denmark with most of Norway being dry with sunny spells.
