Turning much cold across all of Europe
Tuesday
Cloud and some drizzly outbreaks of rain will be affecting the far southwest of Portugal through today. For the north of Portugal conditions should be drier with sunny spells, and this fine weather extends through Spain too. Some showers across southern France, but heavier showers to the north. Cold with wintry showers for the Low Countries and Germany as well as Poland. Austria, Hungary and Switzerland will be rather cloudy with some sleet or snow at times.
Low pressure for Italy brings unsettled weather here with showers or outbreaks of rain. Most of the rain to the north where it could be heavy at times. Fairer through central and southern areas with showers here. More cloud and some showers across Greece, with the rain extending to Bulgaria and Romania whilst Turkey is going to be dry with some sunny spells.
Low pressure also dominates to the north across the Baltic States. This brings cloud and rain as well as strong winds with more cloud and rain spreading to Finland, where it will be turning to sleet and snow. Some wintry showers and strong winds in the far south of Sweden, although Denmark and Norway stay cold and mainly dry.
Wednesday
Cloud and some rain over the far south of Portugal and Spain. Across more central and northern areas it should be drier with some sunny spells. Across France there could be some mist and fog in the morning, but this should be clearing away. Showers over the Low Countries, wintry at times, and these wintry showers affecting Germany and Polandand too. Fair for Austria, Hungary and Switzerland, although feeling cold here.
Low pressure over Italy will be continuing to bring more showers or rain here. fair across Greece with plenty of sunshine, although cloud and some showers spread eastwards through Turkey. heavy showers for Bulgaria and Romania, these turning increasingly wintry.
A deep area of low pressure across Scandinavia brings strong winds through Finland with snow, and this extends to southern Finland too. Breezy for the east coasts of Sweden and dry here with some sunshine. Denmark and Norway will be dry with sunny spells but feeling very cold.
