Cold weather spreading south as the eastern Mediterranean remains unsettled

Tuesday
Fair over Portugal today with good spells of sunshine. A few showers may affect eastern parts of Spain and the Balearics where it will be feeling cold too. An area of rain, sleet and snow will be pushing southwards into central and northern parts of France, whilst the south stays dry. A few snow showers across the Low Countries and northern Germany, whilst Poland is going to be feeling very cold. Staying cold across Hungary, Austria and Switzerland, with some snow for Switzerland too.
Italy will be chilly with a few showers, although some sunny spells as well. Scattered showers in Greece where the sun will shine in the west. Staying very unsettled in the eastern Mediterranean where low pressure brings some more sleet and snow to Turkey. Cold with sunny spells and scattered snow showers in Bulgaria and Romania.
To the north the baltic States will be windy and very cold with some snow showers here. Finland should be dry but cold, and it is going to be staying cold across Norway and Sweden too, although it should be dry. A cold day for Denmark but mainly dry.

Wednesday
Scattered showers of rain, sleet and even some snow for northern and eastern parts of Spain today. To the south and through Portugal it should be fine with plenty of sunshine. A very cold day to come across France with a low risk of a snow showers, whilst the Low Countries and Germany should be dry with sunny spells here. A few snow showers affecting Poland and Germany, although mainly dry. Austria, Hungary and Switzerland will be dry too.
Low pressure over Italy brings some sunny spells and an occasional shower here. There will be cloud and some rain for Greece with this rain extending through Cyprus, Crete and into Turkey too. Fog could be a problem for Bulgaria and Romania with this slow to clear.
To the north cloud and some snow showers will be affecting the Baltic States, whilst Finland is dry. More cloud and some showers across southeastern parts of Sweden, whilst Denmark and Norway should be dry, although some rain may affect western Denmark later.
