Dry across western Europe
Today
Continued fine and dry across England today as high pressure dominates. This fine, dry weather is also expected across all of France, into Germany, Denmark, Holland and Belgium. Still quite a chilly day across Portugal and Spain but dry and sunny. A rash of heavy showers are expected across the Balearics. Dry across Corsica, Sardinia and much of Italy though a few showers are possible in the south. It stays bitterly cold across eastern parts of Europe but dry today across Russia, The Baltic States, Belarus, Hungry, Romania and the former Yugoslavia. Heavy snow is forecast across Finland and the Ukraine today. Dry and sunny across Greece and western Turkey while snow is forecast in eastern Turkey and may be heavy. Very cold again across Scandinavia. Snow showers will affect western Norway. Eastern Norway and Sweden look fine and dry.
Tuesday
Cloudy today with rain expected across England and this extends across into Denmark and Sweden. Fine and dry with sunny spells for all of France, Belgium, Holland and Germany with morning fog. Cold but mainly dry across Norway and morning snow clears to sunny spells across Finland. More heavy snow is expected across Russia, The Baltic States and parts of the Ukraine. Continued dry, sunny but chilly across Portugal and Spain today with more showers across the Balearics. Rain, sleet and snow is possible across central and southern Italy today with a cloudy but dry day for Greece. More heavy snow is forecast for eastern Turkey but dry in the west. Dry and cold across Bulgaria, the former Yugoslavia, Hungry, Poland and Romania. Fine and sunny but cold across northern Italy, Austria and Switzerland.
