Unsettled across much of Europe

Today
Wet across England and the northern half of France with outbreaks of rain. This area of rain will also extend down into Portugal and Spain. Mainly dry across Belgium and Holland but snow is expected across Denmark, northern Germany into Norway and will be heavy. Cloudy but dry and cold across Sweden with a cold, sunny day across Finland. Some snow too to come for the north of Russia. A dry, cold day to come across the south into the Baltic States, Belarus, into Poland, Hungry, the Ukraine and Romania. Patchy rain, sleet and snow is expected across the former Yugoslavia with showers across Greece while it looks fine and dry for western Turkey. Snow will fall across eastern Turkey. Fair and dry across Italy with showers for Corsica and Sardinia but dry across the Balearics. Snow is expected fall across the Alps today.

Wednesday
Dry across England today but an area of heavy rain will stretch from north west France down across Spain and Portugal but dry across eastern Spain and east into most of France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. Heavy snow is expected across the Alps today with a wet day with rain across Italy. Mainly dry today across the former Yugoslavia. There is a risk of snow across Hungry but for Romania, Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey it should be mainly dry. More heavy snow to come today across Denmark and Norway and northern Sweden. Very cold but dry across southern Sweden, Finland, Russia, The Baltic States, Poland and Belarus. Sunny and cold today across the Ukraine with a dry day for the former Yugoslavia.
