Cloudy and damp south with rain and times, but fair to the north
Wednesday
An area of cloud and showers affecting eastern and central parts of Spain today. Breezy over northwestern coasts of Portugal bringing some rain here. Heavy showers and some rain for the west of France but eastern areas should be dry with sunny spells. A dry day for the Low Countries with some sunny periods here and broken cloud across Germany but dry. More dry weather for Poland with some breaks in the cloud allowing some sunny spells to come through. Hungary has cloud and some drizzle whilst Austria and Switzerland will be dry with sunny spells.
Low pressure brings a wet afternoon to much of western Italy, the north tending to stay dry until evening. Dry across Greece with sunny spells here as a band of cloud and showers pushes south through Turkey. Fair for Bulgaria and Romania, but cold with sunny spells.
High pressure to the north gives dry weather across Finland and some sunny spells. The Baltic States will be bitterly cold but it should be dry here with some weak sunshine. A chilly day for Sweden and Denmark and generally dry here. Remaining dry in Norway with some sunny spells to come here.

More showers across northern parts of Spain today. There could be further showers and some strong winds through eastern Pain and the Balearic Islands. The rest of Spain and Portugal should be dry with sunny spells. Cloudier skies for France, perhaps with some spots of light rain. A cold day for the Low Countries and dry too with some sunny spells. Cold again across Germany with some more bright or sunny spells. Cloud and some sleet or drizzle across Poland where it stays cloudy and cold. More cloud and outbreaks of rain through Hungary and Austria, although Switzerland will be dry with some bright or sunny spells.

High pressure for Finland bringing a cold and dry day here. Staying very cold through the Baltic States and remaining dry with some bright or sunny spells. Remaining cold and dry for the Baltic States as well as Norway.
