Cold again for Scandinavia, wet eastern Mediterranean
Saturday
Plenty of cloud around Spain and Portugal today. There will be outbreaks of rain at times, most on the hills to the north and west. Cloud and rain affecting western parts of Spain, the east being drier and brighter. Plenty of sunshine to come through the Low Countries and Germany. Very cold across eastern Europe and through Hungary too. More sunshine for Switzerland and Austria.
Dry for most of Italy with some good spells of sunshine, the best of these in the west. More eastern areas could see a few showers on the coasts, but elsewhere it should be dry. Low pressure in the Aegean brings lots of cloud and periods of rain here, some of these heavy in places. More cloud and some outbreaks of rain through Bulgaria and Romania.
High pressure to the north will be bringing more dry and cold weather over Finland and the Baltic States. There will be some bright spells coming through here. Dry weather across Sweden and Denmark as well as Norway with sunny spells, and it will be feeling very cold here as well.
Sunday
Cloud and some showery periods of rain affecting southern parts of Spain today. Through more central and northern areas it will be dry with some sunny spells. A mainly dry day across France with some sunny spells forming as morning mist and fog patches clear. The Low Countries could have some cloud and a few showers here and there. Germany should be mainly dry with bright or sunny spells, although it will be feeling very cold here. Cloud and some rain for Hungary but Austria and Switzerland should be largely dry, although some rain is possible over western Switzerland.
Cloud and some showers in northwest Italy, but for most of the country the day is going to be dry with sunny spells. More sunshine to come across Greece, although showers could affect more northern areas. Heavy showers or longer periods of rain to come for Turkey, with cloud and rain affecting Bulgaria and Romania.
High pressure for Scandinavia brings some cold weather through Finland, although it should be dry. Similar conditions for the Baltic States. Fine too for Sweden where it will be cold and dry. Staying cold and dry for Denmark and Norway too.
