Becoming cold and unsettled over much of Europe
Sunday
A band of cloud and showery rain pushes south through Spain and Portugal today, affecting more southern coasts. Elsewhere it will be cool and dry with some sunny spells. hilly across France with some showers and nippy and showery too for the Low Countries. Cloud and some drizzly rain in much of Germany with cloud, misty weather for Poland. Dull too through Austria and Hungary with more persistent rain across Switzerland.
Italy should be fair with some sunny spells at first, although morning fog may take some time to clear. Once it has the morning should be bright with sunny spells, although some showers developing in the afternoon. Greece is likely to be having a few more showers too, with Turkey unsettled and cloudy with showers to come here. Bulgaria and Romania will be chilly with a risk of snow showers in the east.
The baltic States are going to be cold but mainly dry, with some snow affecting Finland where it will be bitterly cold. rather dull across Sweden with some freezing drizzle here, and similar for Denmark. Brighter in Norway with the best of any sunny spells to the west.
Monday
A cold day across Spain and Portugal in a brisk northerly wind. This wil be bringing showers, some of them heavy over eastern coasts, and the risk of some of them turning wintry. Showery and cold through the balearics too. More showery and cold weather across northern and western France, although eastern areas should fair better. For the Low Countries there will be cloud and some spots of rain. Germany will be cold but with a few showers, and a cold day through Poland too.
Low pressure in the Mediterranean brings an unsettled day to Italy. Some heavy periods of rain here and feeling cold as well, especially in the south. Rain affecting western Greece later, but the east should be dry. Unsettled again across Turkey with some heavy showers here and some snow on the Black Sea coast. The threat of a few wintry showers across Bulgaria and Romania too.
A cold day to come across the Baltic States and Finland, still the risk of some snow showers here. Sweden and Denmark as well as most of Norway should be dry but chilly.
