Today
High pressure in Europe will give much of western and central parts of Europe a settled day. Fair and dry with some sunshine and varying cloud across England, France across Belgium, the Netherlands into Germany but rather cold. Dry too across Portugal, Spain and into the Balearics with good sunny spells. Expect a few snow showers today over the Alps with much of Italy cold but dry. More snow will fall across the former Yugoslavia, Romania, The Ukraine, into Russia and this will be heavy. Heavy showers will affect Greece with snow showers and sunny spells for Turkey. Sunny and cold across The Baltic States, Belarus and Poland. Heavy snow showers to come for western Norway. Sunny and dry for eastern Norway and southern Finland.

High pressure maintains across much of Europe today with much of Europe settled but rather cold. Mostly sunny and dry across England into France, Belgium, Holland, Denmark, Germany, Poland, The Baltic States, Belarus and Hungry with some morning fog patches. More heavy snow showers to come for western Norway, dry and sunny in the east and across into Sweden while snow is forecast for Finland and northern Russia. An area of rain is expected to push across Portugal and Spain but dry today across the Balearics across into Corsica, Sicily into Italy and across into the former Yugoslavia, Romania, Bulgaria and the Ukraine. There is a risk of snow showers across Greece today with heavy snow across Turkey. Lots of heavy showers are expected today in the eastern Mediterranean Sea.
