High pressure maintains across much of eastern Europe today but rather cold. Mostly sunny and dry across Belgium, Holland, Denmark, Germany, Poland, The Baltic States, Belarus and Hungry with some morning fog patches. Fine as well across Italy, the former Yugoslavia, Bulgaria, Greece, Romania and the Ukraine. A few snow showers to come across Turkey today. Mainly dry across Norway and Sweden today while more snow is expected across Finland and Russia. An area of heavy rain across Spain moves across the Balearics with heavy showers for Portugal. Rain is expected for western France but dry in the east.

Rain is expected across Britain today and this area of rain extends across Portugal, western Spain and across France. Heavy rain too to come across Italy today with light rain across Belgium, the Netherlands and Denmark. Outbreaks of snow will affect Norway, northern Sweden and Finland with heavy snow across Russia and light rain across the Baltic States. Dry with sunny spells across the Ukraine, Romania, the former Yugoslavia, Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey. Fair and dry as well across Poland. Cloudy but dry across Germany with heavy snow across the Alps.
