Plenty of sunshine for much of Europe, thundery showers in central areas

Wednesday
A fair day for Portugal and Spain with some good spells of sunshine. There will be decent sunny spells across France too and it should be largely dry here. A few showers breaking out over the Low Countries with more widespread showers and rain over Germany and Poland. This area of low pressure brings more thundery showers over Austria, Hungary and Switzerland.
Thundery showers across northern Italy, although central and southern areas will be dry with good spells of sunshine. Fair over Greece and Turkey with sunny spells here. This sunshine extending into Bulgaria and Romania.
To the north high pressure will bring sunny spells and dry weather through Scandinavia and the Baltic States. Scattered showers for Sweden, these becoming heavy and more widespread over Denmark. Norway will have broken cloud and mainly dry weather.

Thursday
Cloud and some outbreaks of rain affecting the far west of Portugal, most of this showery. Elsewhere across Iberia the day is going to be bright and dry with sunny spells. There will be good spells of sunshine for much of central Europe, this extending through France and into Germany and Poland.
More sunshine to come across the Mediterranean where it should be staying dry. Remaining sunny across Turkey, Bulgaria and Romania although there will be some heavy showers forming in the west.
Low pressure through the UK and Ireland brings some cloud and showers here. Denmark stays dry with sunny spells. Some showers affecting southern Norway and Sweden. More northern areas will be dry with sunny spells and it should stay dry and sunny throughout Finland and the Baltic States.
