A mixed day through central Europe with a fair amount of cloud

Wednesday
A dry day across much of England on Wednesday. The weather is looking very showery across mainland Europe with lots of heavy showers and scattered thunderstorms from France across the Low Countries, Germany into Norway, Sweden, Poland, Belarus into Hungry, the western Ukraine, The Baltic States and Finland. These will be interspersed with sunnier spells. Hot, dry and sunny across Russia into the eastern Ukraine south into Romania, Bulgaria. Thundery showers to across Austria, Switzerland and northern Italy but sunny in the south. Hot, dry and sunny weather will prevail across Portugal, Spain and across into the former Yugoslavia, Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey.

Thursday
A fair day over most of the Mediterranean with plenty of sunshine. It will be very warm, especially through the Balearics, Spain and Portugal. Southern Italy and Greece, as well as Turkey will be dry with lots of sunshine, although a breezy day over western coasts of Greece. Northern and central Italy may have a few heavy and thundery showers.
Much of central Europe should enjoy a fine day with lots of sunshine too. A band of cloud affects southern Germany, Switzerland and Austria giving some showers here. Lots of sunshine for Germany and most of Poland.
Lots of cloud over southern Sweden bringing rain here, and this spreading into the Baltic States. Finland should be fair, although sunshine will become hazy. Most of the rest of Sweden should be fair with sunny spells, some heavy showers across Norway.
