Very windy with strong gales across northern parts of Europe but also in the eastern Mediterranean into south east Europe. Rain is forecast across Britain into much of France, Germany into southern Sweden into western Poland. Cloudy, windy but dry across Belgium, Holland but wet across Denmark. Cloudy and cold across Norway with another area of rain from Finland into southern Russia and the Ukraine. A dry day across Romania, the former Yugoslavia and eastern Poland along with Belarus. Heavy showers and thunderstorms will affect Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey. Windy but a dry day across Italy into the Balearics, Spain into Portugal. Fine and sunny but very windy in the south of France.

More rain to come across Britain today with showers across The Low Counties into Denmark. Rain and heavy showers too across Germany into Poland with heavy showers across the Baltic States and heavy rain across Russia. This rain clears Finland in the morning as it turns sunny and dry. Cold, windy but dry and sunny across Norway and Sweden. Dry today across the Ukraine into Romania, Hungry, Austria into Switzerland. Some rain to come across the former Yugoslavia with further heavy showers and thunderstorms across Greece and Turkey. Lots of fine, sunny weather to come from Italy westward across Sardinia, the Balearics, Portugal and Spain. Some rain in the east of France, dry and sunnier in the west
