Today
Very strong gales are expected across northern parts of Europe into the North Sea. Windy too across the central and eastern parts of the Mediterranean. An area of rain will lie from eastern Britain into Belgium, The Netherlands into eastern France with heavy showers for western France. And across Switzerland and Austria with heavy showers across the Balearics. Sunnier and drier across Spain too with a few showers in the north. Another heavy area of showers is expected from the far south of Italy to south of Greece. Fine across much of Italy. Cloudy but dry across Greece with sunny spells across much of Turkey. Lots of showers around the Black Sea and windy today. Fine and dry into Bulgaria, the former Yugoslavia into Romania, The Ukraine, Russia into Poland and much of Germany. Feeling cold across Scandinavia but dry with sunny spells across Norway, Sweden and Finland.

Mainly dry across England today. An area of moderate to heavy rain will affect Denmark, Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Italy. Some rain mixed with snow to come across Norway. Lots of dry, sunny weather is expected across Sweden, Finland, Russia, The Baltic States, Poland, Belarus into the Ukraine, Romania and the former Yugoslavia. Dry across Greece and Turkey with sunny spells. Outbreaks of rain will spill in across Portugal today, cloudy but mainly dry across Spain with sunny spells across the Balearics. Dry and sunny across all of France, Belgium and Holland today. Cold across Scandinavia and eastern Europe with the warmest temperatures across southern Spain.
