Heavy showers central Mediterranean

Today
A dry day to come across eastern England, France, Belgium, The Netherlands and eastward across Germany and Poland with sunny spells. Cloudy across Norway, Sweden and Denmark with some patchy rain. Heavier rain is expected across Finland and northern Russia. Dry across southern Russia and across the Baltic States into Belarus, The Ukraine, Romania into the former Yugoslavia and Bulgaria. Fine across Greece and Turkey with good sunny spells. It remains fair and dry across Italy while a number of sharp showers persist around Sicily and Sardinia. Heavy rain and gusty winds spread into Portugal into western Spain but dry in the east with a few showers across the Balearics.

Thursday
An area of heavy rain clears England and will lie across The Low Countries into France and into Spain. Dry across Denmark with light rain into Norway. A sunny day to come across Sweden into Finland, Germany, Poland and across the Baltic States into Belarus and western Russia. A cold but fine day and mostly sunny day to come across the Ukraine into Hungry, the former Yugoslavia, Austria and Switzerland. A few showers are expected across Turkey but dry with sunny spells across Greece into Italy. Heavy showers are forecast around the Balearics. Strong winds are expected across the channel, France and Spain with gales in the north Sea. Windy as well in the eastern Mediterranean and colder across Turkey with snow in the northern hills. Colder to across north eastern parts of Europe into Finland and feeling cold across Spain as well.
