More heavy rain in the western Mediterranean, better to the north

The heavy rain and gales will persist across much of the western and central Mediterranean today with heavy showers and rain from Spain across southern France into Italy. Some patchy rain across England today but mainly dry across eastern France into Belgium, Holland and Germany. Colder but mainly dry across Norway, Sweden and Finland. Dry and settled with sunny spells across the Baltic States into Russia, The Ukraine, Romania into Hungry, the former Yugoslavia and Bulgaria. A lot of dry, sunny weather as well into Greece and Turkey today.

Monday
Cloud and some outbreaks of rain affecting the east of Spain on Monday. heavier periods of rain through the Balearics and this extending through southern France, northern Ireland and into Switzerland. Fair weather for Portugal and Spain with some sunny spells to come here. Broken cloud across the rest of France with the threat of some heavy showers here.
Eastern parts of the Mediterranean should be dry. There will be plenty of sunshine and dry weather across Greece and Turkey, this sunshine extending into Bulgaria and Romania.
Germany will have some showers, a few of them heavy. Similar weather for Poland where there could be some heavy showers too. A fair day through Denmark, southern Norway and southern Sweden with the fair weather extending through the Baltic States and Finland.
