Rain for western Europe but the east stays fine and warm

Thursday
An area of heavy rain clears England and will lie across The Low Countries into France and into Spain. Dry across Denmark with light rain into Norway. A sunny day to come across Sweden into Finland, Germany, Poland and across the Baltic States into Belarus and western Russia. A cold but fine day and mostly sunny day to come across the Ukraine into Hungry, the former Yugoslavia, Austria and Switzerland. A few showers are expected across Turkey but dry with sunny spells across Greece into Italy. Heavy showers are forecast around the Balearics. Strong winds are expected across the channel, France and Spain with gales in the north Sea. Windy as well in the eastern Mediterranean and colder across Turkey with snow in the northern hills. Colder to across north eastern parts of Europe into Finland and feeling cold across Spain as well.


Friday
An area of rain is going to be extending through eastern France and into the east and central parts of Spain on Friday. Western France, Portugal and the west of Spain will be brighter but rather showery. Much of the central and eastern Mediterranean will be dry with good spells of sunshine and it should be warm here as well.
For Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Poland it should be a dry day too. It is likely to be feeling very warm with plenty of sunshine.
Norway, Denmark and Sweden should be dry as well. Here there will be a warm southerly wind which will be bringing more sunny spells and dry conditions. Fair through the Baltic States and most of Finland, although there is the chance of some cloud in eastern Finland.
